This combination of industry and product groups enables the firm to deliver advice, strategies and capital with a universal banking approach to our target clients high growth, entrepreneurial, middle market companies.Job DescriptionOur Investment Banking department is actively looking for an Associate to join the Consumer & Retail Group in our New York office. Associates serve as critical members of the team, working directly with both Senior and Junior Bankers of all levels on pitches and engagements. The Associate will be given significant responsibility in transaction execution.Responsibilities:Researching industry sector Assessing comparable companies, precedent transactions and potential investors/buyersPreparing and reviewing complex financial analyses and modelsCrafting detailed memos, presentations and pitchesConducting due diligence Coordinating group efforts for pitch and transaction related activityPresenting materials internally to senior bankers and externally to clients of the firmTraining and mentoring Analysts within the teamQualifications:Experience in investment banking and M&A processes more specificallyExperience with Consumer & Retail sector strongly preferredStrong Microsoft Excel skills essentialStrong verbal and written communication skillsElevated attention to detail and consistency in work product Strong work ethic and team playerOrganized and proactive CapIQ, Factset, Bloomberg and MS Office suite knowledge strongly preferredFINRA Registrations: Series 63, 79 licenses and Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam required at time of hiring or shortly thereafterCompensation:For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $170,000.00 - $190,000.00 at the time of this posting.
