(Candidates will typically have 5-14 years of experience) Degree Requirements: Prefer ABET accredited Technical degree (i.e. Engineering, Engineering Technology) Detailed Job Description: Butler is seeking manufacturing engineers to join a team responsible for creation of process plans for military aircraft derivative or modification programs. Candidates may come from a variety of industries including aircraft, spacecraft, maritime, or weapon systems. Preferred candidate will have experience with Boeing aircraft programs and tools. Planning work packages are produced in MESci using the BOM and CAPP modules. This role will report to Butler project leadership and will interact primarily within the Butler team of peers, project lead, and checkers. Uniquely qualified candidates may have checking or small team leadership experience. Candidates must be able to be granted access to Boeing systems. Planning activities are ongoing and continue in support of Structural, Payload/Interiors, Systems, Electrical and Propulsion Installation packages as described below. Structural installation. Primary structure such as skin and frame installation, floor beam installation, antenna installation. Secondary structural installation consist of structural provisions, rack provisions, cabinet provisions, brackets installation. Payloads/Interiors installation. Lighting installation, placards installation, emergency equipment installation, blankets installation, lavatory installation, galley installation, closet installation, sidewall installation, overhead stowage bin installation. Systems installation. Installation and testing of power generation system, environmental control system, fuel system, flight control cables installation, oxygen system, hydraulic system, potable and waste water system, fire detection and suppression system. Electrical installation. Routing, clamping and installation of wire bundles throughout the aircraft. This will include inspection points throughout the process. Propulsion installation. Engine removal, disassemble Boeing installations, reassemble the engine, and rehang engines, test engines. Desired experience includes: Experience in creation and/or revision of manufacturing process plans for aerospace assembly or installation. Prior experience with Boeing processes and specifications. For example adhesives & sealants, electrical bonding & grounding, and fastener torque. Prior experience with Boeing commercial aircraft: 737, 747, 777, 787. Responsibilities: Creation of process plans, following plan guidance, and using templates. Incorporation of check comments. Opportunity for growth into Checking, or Work Breakdown Structure. Opportunity for work in other areas including: structure, hydraulic, fuel, waste water, oxygen. Skills: Ability to interpret engineering data, including 2D drawings and bill of material. Proficient in software MESCI, CAPP, GOLDESP. Able to read data in REDARS, IVT, ENOVIA, and CATIA. Good communication skills.
