Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

You’ll work Monday through Friday with a dedicated caseload of high school students, using your skills and expertise to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment.

Candidates must hold a valid NC Special Education License. Experience working with behaviors is preferred, as you will be engaging with a diverse group of students, some of whom may require additional behavioral support. The role calls for creativity, compassion, and adaptability, as you’ll design and implement individualized educational plans to help each student reach their full potential.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current NC Special Education License required
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with high school students
• Prior experience with behavior management is highly valued
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to develop and adapt educational materials to meet diverse learner needs

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction based on students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Manage and track progress for a designated caseload of students
• Work collaboratively with general educators, administrators, and families
• Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
• Implement behavioral strategies tailored to students’ individual needs
• Attend meetings and maintain all necessary documentation
