Sr HR Business Partner

Overview Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional Sr HR Business Partner to join our Human Resources team at our headquarters (San Jose, CA). Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer. As a Sr HR Business Partner, you will report to the Senior Director of HR in a full‑time role. You will act as a dedicated HR consultant to designated business groups and lead corporate HR initiatives that align with the company’s business and people strategies to drive organizational success. Responsibilities include talent workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, change management and organizational design, employee experience and engagement, and people analytics. Rambus offers a flexible hybrid work environment, encouraging employees to spend an average of at least three days per week onsite and two days remote. Responsibilities Develop strong partnership with designated business group(s) by consulting with management and helping determine HR priorities consistent with business objectives. Implement and support HR programs and initiatives, including talent management, development programs for employees and managers, performance management processes and compensation planning with the Compensation team, and M&A activities. Manage and resolve employee relation issues promptly, providing coaching or counseling, investigating concerns, and managing disciplinary steps when necessary. Assist in developing, implementing, or interpreting personnel policies and procedures to continually improve HR efficiency. Analyze key data trends and metrics with HR colleagues to develop solutions, programs, and policies, using data from new‑hire surveys, exit interviews, HR satisfaction surveys, and 1:1s with employees or managers. Collaborate closely with HR colleagues in Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, and regional HR Business Partners to leverage expertise, systems, and processes to support business needs. Participate in weekly staff meetings with the business group(s) and quarterly global HR staff meetings. Ensure all actions comply with employment laws, company policies, and sound business practice. Qualifications BS/BA degree in HR Management. 5–7 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or Generalist. PHR/SHRM certification a plus but not required. Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks and projects. Change‑management skills to drive programs independently. Ability to lead projects to successful completion while balancing efficiency with quality. Positive, proactive attitude with strong collaboration skills. Analytical skills with experience translating data into action planning. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build relationships at all levels. Prior experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Microsoft D365, iCIMS, Sumtotal, PowerBI). The US salary range for this full‑time position is $100,000.00 to $160,000.00, determined by role, level, location, and market conditions.
