Python & AWS Development Position

Python & AWS development to build, enhance and maintain monitoring capabilities

Typical Day

• Develop new monitoring solutions and automations to accelerate issue detection and correction.
• Monitor pipeline execution for failures or anomalies, using a variety of tools and methods.
• Maintain and improve data quality scorecard measurements.
• Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by the client’s management from time to time.

Technical Skills Required

(Required)

• Four years or more of experience in data engineering and/or software development.
• Three years or more of experience with development, operations, or architecture in a Cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)

(Desired)

• Robust experience with AWS services (S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, Sagemaker, IAM)
• Software development experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, Javascript, C++, Scala, etc
• Knowledge of data technology products and components for Big Data and Cloud (AWS, Data Lakes, and similar).

Soft Skills Required

• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time

Education Requirements

• Associate degree in computer programming or a relevant field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5-7 years’ experience required.
