Job Title

Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Location

Augusta, GA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit serving an adult to geriatric population with diagnoses including CHF, MI/chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), hypo-/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular issues
• Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:4–5 within a 16-room unit
• Utilize Epic (required) , Pyxis, and SBAR communication frameworks in daily clinical practice
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
• Work every other weekend as scheduled
• Adhere to holiday work expectations: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work those holidays; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission — no RTO or schedule requests will be accepted post-offer or onsite; no RTO permitted during orientation week
• Local candidates are welcome to apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition, and post-procedural cardiac care
• Familiarity with Epic EMR in an acute care or telemetry setting
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations with complex cardiovascular and vascular diagnoses
