ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
The position requires a dedicated and compassionate ICU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care within a float pool setting. The nurse will be responsible for working in various Intensive Care Unit (ICU) floors and may occasionally float to lower acuity units as needed. Flexibility and adaptability are vital in this role to meet our unit's diverse demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an ICU environment.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure proper patient monitoring and assessment, focusing on rapid response to changes in patient conditions.
- Float between different ICU units based on staffing needs.
- Provide care across multiple locations as required.
Shift Information
- Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)
- Weekend Requirement: Minimum every other weekend, with potential for more to meet unit needs.
- Availability to work on 3 out of 5 major holidays is required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an ICU Registered Nurse.
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position.
- Required certifications include ACLS, BCLS, and NIH.
- Must be open to floating to different ICU floors or lower acuity units at any time.
- Requests for time off must be included at the time of submission.
Additional Information
- This position will involve floating between like units, and there may be a requirement to float to Providence Mission Laguna.
- No on-call duties are required for this role.
- Guaranteed hours are subject to facility policies, allowing for potential call-offs once per two-week pay period.
- Free parking is available on-site.
