Our team takes collective pride in its work product, professionalism and discretion./ph3Position Overview/h3pWe are seeking a full-time Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to support the full cycle accounts payable function for our small, but complex, multiple entity organization. The ideal candidate is technologically savvy, eager to adapt to new technology with a strong focus on automation and process improvement. Responsibilities include ensuring invoices are processed and paid in a timely and efficient manner, and serving as a point person to research and resolve inquiries. This role collaborates with internal departments to address complex AP functional and technical issues, and helps to identify best practices to ensure we are meeting company goals and client service expectations./ph3Primary Responsibilities/h3ulliResponsible for new vendor setup and maintenance to ensure accurate payments and annual 1099 tax reporting/liliProcess accounts payable department mail and manage invoices coming in via electronic inboxes/liliScan, code, and enter all invoices into accounts payable software system in an efficient and timely manner/liliAudit invoices scanned through OCR technology for payment approval/liliEnsure timely and accurate payments to vendors within agreed upon terms/liliSupport internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner/liliResponsible for accounts payable recurring invoice processing/liliAssist with continued transition to electronic payment processing/liliEnsure and adhere to disciplined internal controls and support periodic external agreed upon procedures engagements/liliCreate and maintain accounts payable procedures and quick reference guides to ensure adherence to company guidelines/liliContribute ideas for process improvement based on identified themes and observations/liliAssist with system testing related to ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and security controls/liliCollaborate with broader Finance and Accounting team on ad hoc related tasks and projects/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliA minimum of 5 years experience in accounting/accounts payable using accounting principles/liliBachelors or associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field required/liliFamily office experience is strongly preferred/liliMeticulous attention to detail/liliAbility to work efficiently and accurately in a deadline driven environment/liliProven ability to work independently and possess strong critical thinking skills/liliStrong organizational skills and ability to pivot and adapt to day-to-day changes/liliStrong desire to learn new technology with an inclination for automation and process improvement/liliPositive, professional attitude and excellent customer service skills/liliDependability along with a strong work ethic and high degree of integrity/liliAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information/liliStrong verbal and written communication skills/liliAbility to build strong working relationships with peers, vendors, business partners, and leadership across the organization/liliAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)/liliProficient in accounting software; Microsoft Business Central strongly preferred/li/ulh3Compensation and Benefits/h3pThe projected salary range for this position is $70K-$80K, however final compensation will be determined based on the candidates qualifications, including education, relevant experience, and skills.
