Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric to geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy tailored to communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
• Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team that includes physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to cultivate integrated care strategies.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families to encourage progress beyond the clinic walls.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies, maintaining seamless care throughout the treatment process.
• Ensure timely and precise documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational mandates.
• Remain engaged with the latest developments in speech-language pathology through continuing education and collaborative learning with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of employment commencement.
