Description

• Conduct assessments for patients from pediatric to geriatric groups using validated tests and clinical observations.
• Tailor individualized treatment strategies to meet both immediate and future communication or swallowing goals.
• Deliver specialized therapy focused on speaking, language use, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to formulate integrated care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families, helping reinforce therapy progress outside of sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatment to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately, adhering to all relevant guidelines.
• Maintain professional knowledge by engaging in continuing education opportunities and sharing insights with colleagues.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hiring.
