Senior Manager, Communications – Full Job Description - Orlando Area Ghyabi Consulting & Management (GCM) is seeking an accomplished Senior Manager, Communications to join our team in Orlando. This full-time role supports high‑impact transportation initiatives in collaboration with the Florida Department of Transportation’s Moving I-4 Forward Program and regional partners, with a focus on strengthening community relationships and advancing public understanding of innovative and collaborative programs. Position Overview This role directs public awareness, stakeholder communications, media relations, and regional outreach efforts, ensuring messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with program objectives. Duties and Responsibilities • Develop and implement communications strategies and programs aligned with strategic priorities. • Ensure consistency and quality of the voice across all engagement platforms, including print collateral, digital content, websites, social media, and presentations. • Develop talking points, FAQs, newsletters, website content, and other materials; translate technical information into accessible, stakeholder‑friendly messaging. • Provide strategic guidance on issues affecting organizational reputation and ensure clear, effective communication with media, civic leaders, customers, transportation professionals, policymakers, and employees. • Build and maintain strong media relationships; manage inquiries, coordinate interviews, and support proactive press engagement for program initiatives. • Identify and pursue opportunities with regional and industry organizations—including chambers, school districts, and trade publications—to elevate program visibility through events, partnerships, and written contributions. • Deliver quarterly reporting and analysis to senior leadership on the effectiveness of communications strategies and project‑level messaging. • Participate in community, and state transportation organizations and meetings to support regional alignment and engagement. • Manage ROI evaluations for promotional campaigns and ensure data‑driven decision‑making. • Oversee social media and website performance, ensuring content accuracy, consistency, and relevance. Skills • Demonstrated ability to create clear, compelling communication strategies and campaigns. • Proven leadership and team management experience. • Strong judgment, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities; adept at managing shifting priorities. • Proven success in developing public awareness programs and campaigns. • Working knowledge of website functions, digital design principles, content development, and publication layout. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. • Strong media relations capabilities and experience generating positive coverage. • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with stakeholders at all organizational levels. • Office setting; occasional travel may be required for events or meetings. • Reports to Director of Communications.
