We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for short-term locum coverage at a busy solo outpatient practice in Red Oak, Texas. This is a straightforward, well-defined opportunity specific dates, set hours, and a supportive practice environment. Great for an NP looking to pick up focused locum work in the DFW area without a long-term commitment.

Schedule

• Clinic hours: 9:00 AM 4:00 PM
• No call, no evenings, no weekends

Compensation

• Up to $70/hour
• 1099 or W2 negotiable

Practice Overview

This is a well-established solo physician practice with a loyal patient base and a high-volume, efficient workflow. The practice operates approximately 75% Internal Medicine and 25% Cardiology with a strong focus on ancillary services expect a diagnostically active practice with labs, imaging, and procedure orders as part of the daily workflow. The supervising physician sees approximately 40 patients per day and is looking for an NP who can comfortably manage a minimum of 25 patients per day during coverage.

What You'll Be Doing

• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic Internal Medicine conditions
• Support Cardiology patient management including follow-ups and chronic disease management
• Order and interpret ancillary studies including labs, EKGs, and imaging
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation throughout the clinic day

Requirements

• Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) or Adult-Gerontology NP (AGPCNP-BC) Adult or Family focus preferred
• Active, unrestricted Texas NP license
• Active DEA license
• Comfortable in a high-volume outpatient setting
• Internal Medicine experience required
• Cardiology exposure preferred but not required
• Comfortable with ancillary-heavy practice workflow
• Minimum 25 patients per day required
