Warehouse Packer - 2nd Shift

** Shift Hours: 2 PM to 11 PM ** POSITIION SUMMARY: Conducts day-to-day activities pertaining to the checking and packing product for the shipping department. Checks and Packs material accurately and in an efficient manner, all while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES : In addition to the Responsibilities of "Order checker/Packer":
- Ensures designated equipment is in proper working condition (forklifts, pickers, crane, hand tools, etc.)
- Effectively communicates with department supervisors
- Utilizes Sales Order information to accurately verify recorded information provided by the order puller
- Visually inspects all material to identify any non-conformances
- Packages material securely, ensuring it is protected from any potential damage during transit.
- Properly fills out information required on Sales Order and accompanying forms
- Attend Safety Meetings to identify departmental issues and discuss ways to correct them
- Identifies areas of improvement while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Duties are not limited to those described above and may be expanded as needed
- Speak and read English. Bilingual Spanish a plus
- 1+ years warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand industry specifications, charts, and tables
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills. Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
- Must have average reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
- Ability to drive forklift and secure certification
- Capable of lifting and stacking objects up to 50 lbs.
- Requires a high level of attention to detail
- Able to handle multiple tasks and priorities
- Able to stand and operate a variety of equipment as assigned
- Takes initiative and can work independently
