Position Description

• Responsible for monthly and yearly accounting close processes

• Review financial statements and perform account reconciliations for irregularities

• Analyze budgets and create expense reports
• Examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns
• Assist in financial and tax audits
• Oversee payroll and provide backup when necessary
• Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets, liabilities and expenses)

• Maintain job costing and related documentation

• Analyze transactions with internal and external stakeholders
• Review internal controls and address any deficiencies as needed
• Maintain financial data accuracy and integrity
• Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
• Report to the Controller and work to improve financial processes

Position Requirements

• Accounting Degree Required
• 2-5 years of accounting experience required.
• Familiarity with job costing, WIP reporting, and construction billing processes preferred.
• CPA or CPA candidate a plus
• Experience with construction accounting software such as Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint Vista, Foundation, CMiC, or similar systems preferred.
• Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel; very good with spreadsheets
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other related MS Office products
• Knowledge of an accounting information system is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Confidentiality and integrity
