Position Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Sr Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and work directly with the Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of accounting experience, strong QuickBooks and Excel skills, and a solid understanding of GAAP.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain business transactions in QuickBooks .
• Assist with balancing and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Perform AP, AR, and GL activities.
• Complete bank reconciliations and daily cash reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing year-end reports and documentation for audits.
• Handle statement billing.
• Prepare schedules and analyze trends for costs, revenues, and financial commitments.
• Perform variance analysis on monthly financial reports.
• Prepare daily/weekly bank deposits.
• Manage fixed asset capitalization, depreciation, and amortization .
• Process expense accruals and prepaid amortization.
• Review and process expense reimbursements.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting .
• 2-3 years of accounting experience .
• Knowledge of GAAP .
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks .
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Quick learner with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Team-oriented and results-driven.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
