Brief Description Full-Time Cook Raybrook Manor at Holland Home Our breathtaking Raybrook Manor Campus is searching for a Full-Time Cook to add to our amazing dining services team. Responsibilities And Duties Prepares and cooks food for residents and staff using standardized recipes and complying with regulatory requirements Assures that all prepared food items meet standards for temperature, quality, consistency, freshness, taste, and appearance Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies Prepare food for service (chopping vegetables, butchering meat, crafting sauces) Clean up the station and take care of leftover food Stock inventory appropriately Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers Wages And Benefits Wages are determined based on experience and skills Yearly wage increases Retirement Planning with Employer Matching Free Financial Advising Customizable Health Insurance and Benefits Plan PTO Accrual in the first year Biweekly Insurance/FSA Allowance Required/Preferred Experience Six months to one year of cooking experience required, with a preference for large-scale food preparation Completion of Food Safety Training for Food Service Workers within 90 days of hire High school diploma or equivalent Requirements Working every other weekend and a holiday rotation Reliable transportation Ability to stand for long periods and lift 60 pounds Ability to read, speak, write, and understand the English language Pass a basic physical Pass a background check Schedule And Hours Full-Time: 40 hours a week Various Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm, 9-5:30pm Every other weekend required, varied shifts Holiday rotation required About Holland Home Holland Home, located in Grand Rapids, is one of Michigan’s largest non-profit providers of senior living services.
