Systems Developer

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and innovative Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions across various platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a broad range of technologies including web development, application development, and cloud services. The Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient software that meets business needs. Duties Design, develop, test, and implement software applications using languages such as Java, C#, Python, Ruby on Rails, C++, and VBA. Build and maintain web applications utilizing front-end technologies like JavaScript, REST APIs, and frameworks such as .NET and Angular. Develop and optimize database solutions using SQL, MySQL, and other relational databases; ensure data integrity and security. Integrate third-party APIs and cloud services such as AWS and Azure to enhance application functionality. Collaborate within Agile teams to plan sprints, review code via SVN or GitHub repositories, and ensure continuous integration using Git or similar version control tools. Maintain documentation of codebases and technical specifications for future reference and compliance. Troubleshoot issues across the development lifecycle; perform code reviews and participate in peer programming sessions. Stay current with emerging technologies to recommend improvements in development processes or tools. Qualifications Proven experience in web development, application development, or software engineering with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Proficiency in programming languages including Java, C#, Python, C++, Ruby on Rails, VBA, or similar. Solid understanding of SQL databases such as MySQL or SQL Server; experience with database design and optimization. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure for deploying scalable applications. Experience working with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and API integrations. Knowledge of front-end development frameworks and tools including JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular) is preferred. Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is a plus. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies; ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with effective communication abilities to articulate technical concepts clearly.
