Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides expert CT imaging services, operating advanced computerized tomography equipment for diagnostic purposes. Ensures patient safety, accuracy of imaging, and adherence to department protocols to support quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and monitor the operation of CT equipment for each patient, ensuring proper positioning and safety procedures.
• Prepare patients for scans by obtaining medical histories, verifying identity, and applying immobilization devices as needed.
• Administer contrast media intravenously following radiologist protocol to enhance imaging results.
• Acquire, develop, and record imaging studies, maintaining accurate documentation for permanent records.
• Perform daily calibration, quality control, and timely maintenance of CT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist radiologists and physicians with specialized CT procedures, providing support for accurate diagnosis.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of recent CT imaging experience required.
• Current license to practice in Michigan, with verification via LARA and Nursys.
• Certification in ARRT and BLS required; certification in ARRT for CT preferred.
• Experience with Philips CT systems and traveler roles is preferred.
• Ability to follow safety protocols, perform basic emergency procedures, and maintain quality standards.
