Principal Data ArchitectMcBride Consulting has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Data Architect providing support to the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management Division (C3BM). Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) has been tasked with delivering an integrated Department of the Air Force (DAF) Battle Network providing resilient decision advantage and enabling the USAF, USSF, Joint, and Coalition Force to win against the pacing challenge. C3BM supports execution in many different focus areas. C3BM's main efforts are Architecture and Systems Engineering (ASE), Operational Response Team (ORT), and multiple mission integration teams such as Air, Maritime, and multiple acquisitions consisting of both the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) and Space. This is a full-time position located at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA and is 100% onsite.Duties to include, but not limited to:Provide interoperability and data architecture support to ensure data consistency, reliability, and interoperability throughout the mission planning process.Design and maintain mission planning data architectures, schemas, and data packages supporting Government Program Office requirements and special interest programs.Support development of Mission Planning Order of Battle (MPOB) data schemas and recommendations for integrating new intelligence and mission planning data sources.Participate in technical meetings with Government, Intelligence Community, and mission partners to support mission planning data requirements and interoperability objectives.Serve as a senior integration analyst supporting mission planning interface control and interoperability working groups.Support interoperability for mission planning data formats including MPOB, ACTDF, Electronic Warfare (EW), Mission Planning Parametrics (MPP), and Common Route Definition (CRD).Coordinate with data providers, users, and owners to ensure data reliability, consistency, and governance across mission planning environments.Support schema development and updates to incorporate DoD and Intelligence Community standards and security marking requirements.Provide recommendations for enhancements to mission planning systems, data repositories, and order of battle capabilities.Serve as a technical advisor on mission planning data modernization initiatives, including data integration, cloud architectures, API implementation, and application modernization efforts.Design architectures and provide guidance for decomposing mission planning applications into containerized microservices and cloud-based environments.Support development of data visualizations, analytics solutions, and data quality assessments.Provide recommendations regarding security controls, accreditation requirements, and operation of systems within classified environments.Support operational planning, mission integration, automation, and data ingestion initiatives across mission planning platforms.Assist in the development of Information Support Plans (ISPs), architectural documentation, and interoperability artifacts required to support mission planning capabilities.Requirements:Citizenship: Must be a US citizenClearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret Level Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI later onEducation: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related fieldYears of experience: 20+ years of experience with 12+ years of experience in the DoDTechnical Skills:Data Architecture and Data Management Architecture DesignMission Planning Data Architecture and InteroperabilityData Governance, Data Quality, and Data IntegrationCloud-based systems and hybrid cloud architecturesData Lakehouse architectures, including DataBricks, Snowflake, and Delta LakeInfrastructure as Code (IaC) and containerization technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and AnsibleAPI architecture and microservices design utilizing REST, gRPC, and GraphQLEvent-driven and streaming architectures utilizing Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi, and ConfluentETL/ELT pipeline orchestration and data transformation solutionsIdentity and Access Management (IAM), Active Directory, LDAP, Zero Trust, and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC)Knowledge of XML, JSON, and mission planning data formatsKnowledge of cybersecurity principles related to data, servers, cloud-based systems, and classified environmentsFamiliarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and DevOps principlesFamiliarity with intelligence data and intelligence community data sourcesHybrid network architecture, cloud connectivity, and architecture visualization tools such as Visio, Draw.io, and PowerPointInterpersonal Skills:Strong analytical and critical thinking skillsAbility to develop innovative solutions to complex interoperability and data architecture challengesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to communicate technical concepts to both engineering and executive audiencesStrong collaboration skills with Government, Intelligence Community, and contractor stakeholdersAbility to work independently while leading technical discussions and architecture initiativesStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyAdditional Information:Location: Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MATravel: Travel may be required per the customer's discretion100% OnsiteBenefits: 401(k), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, Paid time off, Professional development assistance, Referral program, Vision insuranceOur people and culture:McBride is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
