Registered Nurse (RN) - Orthopedic SurgeryWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Orthopedic Surgery unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills in orthopedic care and be adaptable to floating between Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units as needed.Position DetailsShift: Night shifts (3x12 hours, 18:45 - 07:15)Weekend Coverage: Every other weekendFloating Required: Yes, based on skill setDaily Census: 15-20 patientsNumber of Beds: 30ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality nursing care to orthopedic surgery patientsMonitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare teamAdminister medications and treatments as prescribedConduct assessments and develop patient care plansCoordinate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and moreComplete the required EKG examQualificationsExperience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical/Surgical or Telemetry nursing, with a preference for orthopedic experienceCertifications: ACLS (preferred)BLS (required)NIHSS (required)Active TN RN license or multistate licensureSkills: IV therapy and phlebotomyBlood product administrationCentral line blood draws (preferred)PICC line management (preferred)Colostomy/ileostomy management and care (preferred)Feeding tube care and management (preferred)Experience with gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery cases (preferred)Charting System ExperienceFamiliarity with EPIC is required. Experience with other charting systems is preferred.Additional InformationThis position requires a strong ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and commitment to patient care.
