We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join the team at Riverdale Elementary in Thornton, Colorado. This is a full-time opportunity supporting an intensive preschool classroom serving children ages 3 5 .
The SLP will work directly within the classroom alongside an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher , providing speech and language support in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide speech and language services to preschool students ages 3 5.
- Work 100% within the classroom setting to support students' communication and language development.
- Collaborate closely with the Early Childhood Special Education Teacher and other school staff.
- Develop and implement individualized speech-language interventions based on student needs.
- Support communication skills across classroom activities and routines.
- Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with educators and families as needed.
- Intensive preschool classroom
- AM class: Approximately 5 students
- PM class: Approximately 5 students
- Ages: 3 5 years
- Small caseload with direct classroom-based support
- 100% classroom setting
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Appropriate Colorado SLP licensure/certification required.
- Experience working with preschool or early childhood populations preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a classroom-based special education environment.
