divh2Accounts Payable Specialist/h2pPay: 25-30/hr., W-2 depending on experience We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for our client in Trussville AL. This is a 5-day 100% onsite position where you will be a key player in keeping their financial operations running smoothly and efficiently. Our client is an established and successful company with a rich 50-year history. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity w/ the goal to rollover to a fully benefitted direct position./ph3Job Responsibilities:/h3ulliOwning the AP process from start-to-finish, preferably within a product, mfg., or distribution related industries./liliWorking with department leaders to verify, code, and approve invoices/liliKeeping our accounting system clean and accurate (you take pride in doing it right!)/liliPreparing weekly payment batches and coordinating with corporate accounting/liliSetting up and maintaining vendor accounts and ensuring compliance/liliReconciling vendor statements and solving payment discrepancies before they become problems/liliSupporting month-end close with reports, accruals, and documentation/liliBringing ideas to the table to help us streamline and improve our AP processes/li/ulh3Job Requirements/h3ulliAssociates degree in Accounting is great but experience matters just as much/lilistrong 2 or more years in Accounts Payable (AP) is required /strong/liliSolid understanding of AP workflows/liliPrior QuickBooks experience/liliOrganized, accurate, and able to juggle multiple priorities/liliCommunicate well and enjoy partnering with others to get things done/liliTake ownership, follow through, and are always looking for ways to do things better/li/ulpAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran./p/div
