Sr. Software Engineer – JavaLocation: San Leandro, CA Work site – Onsite - 5 days a weekIn this role, you will:Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environmentsContribute to large scale planning of strategiesDesign, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deploymentsReview moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and proceduresResolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirementsCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goalsLead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staffRequired Qualifications:7+ years of Java Version 11 and later functional programming experience2+ years of experience with Apache Kafka or ConfluentEnterprise Applications experience.Strong knowledge of Java fundamentals, data structures, and object-oriented programmingExperience with Java frameworks, such as Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, and Java EEProficiency in database management systems like Oracle.Experience with Microservices architecture and design patterns like MVC, Structural etc.Front end development experience using languages such as Angular, Node.js or ReactExperience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, or DevOps Experience with cloud-based platforms like PCF, GCP, AWS or AzureWorking knowledge on container applications like Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShiftStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutionsDesired Qualifications:2+years of Oracle DB experienceStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsExperience with data streaming technologies and use casesKnowledge and understanding of test-driven application development2+ years of experience in designing and engineering cloud native solutions2+ years of experience with secure DevOps and deployment automation to cloud environments2+ years of Agile experience2+ years of JIRA experience2+ years of using confluence.Experience with Performance Tuning, Scaling, Security, Resiliency Best PracticesEnterprise experience with one or more CI/CD implementation, configuration management and orchestration tools: Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, GitHubActions, Harness 10Experience with one or more Test Frameworks, Capabilities & Tools: Junit, TestNG, Selenium; Test Driven Development (TDD); Behavioral Driven Development (BDD): Cucumber/GherkinWorking in Card Payments domain is a plus
