Senior Java Developer

DISYS is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a multi-year engagement with the Telehealth Team within a foremost Healthcare IT solutions organization.

Consultants in the Pacific Time Zone will be considered.

This is a hands-on role with primary focus on analysis, design, and development of complex web applications. We are looking for Senior Java/J2EE Developers with strong passion for developing quality code and deep understanding of core concepts of Java/J2EE and Web Services technologies.

• Facilitate the agile development process through daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo, and retrospective meetings.
• Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
• Participate in enterprise solution design.
• Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.
• Research and evaluate a variety of software products and development tools.
• Strong experience in developing REST based web services utilizing industry standard.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases.
• Proven communication skills, both written and oral.
• Familiarity with all facets of SDLC - ranging from inception to deployment.
• Responsible for code asset management for applications, and support and promoting asset reuse.
• Supports the implementation of systems into production.
• Works independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

• 8-10 years of experience working IT industry developing solutions in Java/J2EE technologies and at least 2 years’ experience as senior developer in designing Java/J2EE solutions.
• Strong Experience with Kafka.
• Experience with Microservices architecture, Micro Apps, Micro Front End, Building & Consuming APIs.
• Strong Experience around Application Security such as API Security, App Security, Data Security, Log Security.
• Experience with CI/CD using Containers, Docker/Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of how Mobile applications interact with the backend.
• Experience API development for Mobile Apps
• Knowledge around Web RTC.

Skills/Tools:

• Experience in Agile development.
• Expertise in Java, Spring, RESTful Web Services, MQ, AJAX/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, JDBC, any RDBMS databases, JUnit.
• Solid Knowledge of SQL development and performance tuning.
• Working knowledge of Maven, GitHub.
• Thorough understanding of OOAD.
• Demonstrated the ability to design, plan and execute.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in HealthCare Industry is highly desirable.
• Experience using JIRA, Rally, Tomcat, Jenkins.
• Understanding of NoSQL is a plus.
