Commercial Appliance Technician / Trainee (Paid CDL Training!)

Location: Irving, TX

Pay: $20.00 / hour starting rate

• Pay & Growth: Starts at $20/hr ? Promote to $55K$60K base + commission ($60K$80K total expected Y1) potentially in just 36 months!

  Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 4:00 PM

OpenWork is recruiting on behalf of a premier commercial equipment service provider in Irving, TX to find a motivated Field Service Technician Trainee .

This is a Direct Hire position you will be hired directly by our client from day one into a full-time, long-term career path.

Our client will pay for your Class C CDL license , supply all study materials, and train you side-by-side with senior pros. If you have a solid mechanical mindset, know your way around hand/power tools, and want a clear path to an $80,000+ year-one salary , we want to hear from you!

• Direct Hire Security: Permanent, full-time employment directly with the company.

• Rapid Career Progression: Move from Trainee to full Field Technician in as little as 36 months.

• Massive Earning Growth: Bump up to a $55,000$60,000 base salary plus commissions upon promotion. Most year-one technicians earn $60,000$80,000 .

• Paid CDL & Training: The client pays for your Class C CDL exam fees and study materials.

• Predictable Daytime Hours: Steady MonFri schedule (7:00 AM 4:00 PM). No random night shifts or unpredictable hours.

• Working alongside experienced technicians to service, maintain, and repair commercial washing systems in local restaurant environments.

• Learning trade mechanics, tool usage, and system diagnostics from hands-on pros.

• Assisting with loading, unloading, tool transport, deliveries, and field setup.

• Keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe.

• Experience: 13+ years of hands-on mechanical, trade, maintenance, or repair experience (must be confident using hand and power tools) .

• Requirements: Valid Drivers License with a clean motor vehicle record (no pending tickets) and ability to pass a background check. (Existing CDL A/B/C is a major plus!)

• Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortably work in active restaurant environments.

• Mindset: Punctual, eager to learn, safety-oriented, and ready for long-term career advancement.

• Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus!
