Sales Support & Customer Success Specialist (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Tempe, AZ (Onsite/Hybrid)
Duration: Initial 3-month contract with strong potential for extension to 6+ months and possible conversion to full-time employment (FTE)

About the Role

We are seeking a polished, customer-focused professional with a strong background in sales, customer service, and client relationship management. This role will support a pilot program focused on lead qualification, customer engagement, and sales support activities.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a customer pipeline while partnering closely with sales consultants and cross-functional teams. Work Environment

  • Tuesday through Thursday: In-office
  • Monday and Friday: Remote

  • First month requires onsite attendance five days per week

What You'll Do

Lead Qualification & Customer Engagement

• Contact prospective customers to confirm business needs and qualification requirements
• Conduct outbound follow-up calls and manage ongoing customer communication
• Route qualified opportunities to dedicated sales consultants
• Support Spanish-speaking customers when applicable

Pipeline & Referral Management

• Maintain accurate and timely CRM records
• Track customer interactions and contact attempts
• Schedule appointments and consultations with sales representatives
• Monitor referral progress and ensure smooth handoffs between teams
• Provide detailed, accurate notes and documentation

Customer Support & Sales Coordination

• Follow up on outstanding documentation and customer requirements
• Assist with contract validation and underwriting-related processes
• Conduct welcome calls to support customer onboarding and activation
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless customer experience

Process Improvement & Reporting

• Track referral outcomes and customer engagement metrics
• Participate in weekly feedback sessions to identify opportunities for process improvement
• Support pilot program reporting and operational effectiveness reviews
• Contribute ideas to enhance conversion rates and customer experience

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in sales, customer service, customer success, call center operations, or a related client-facing role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience managing customer pipelines, leads, or referrals
• Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
• Stable employment history with a proven record of reliability and performance

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Experience in banking, financial services, lending, underwriting support, or business services
• Background in customer success, account management, sales support, loan processing, or operations coordination
• Experience working in a high-volume contact center environment
