Wholesale Director - Handbags

Our client, a handbag and accessories company, is seeking a motivated Wholesale Director to join their team working with off-price retailers!

**Onsite 3 days a week in NYC

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners in the off-price space
• Lead wholesale sales strategy across retail partners, ensuring strong execution and commercial alignment
• Analyze sales performance and customer trends to identify opportunities for growth
• Identify new accounts and business opportunities to expand distribution
• Drive initiatives that improve sales productivity, efficiency, and overall performance
• Partner cross-functionally with marketing, merchandising, and product teams
• Build sales forecasts and reports
• Manage the sales P&L, budgets, and financial performance

Qualifications:

• 5-7+ years of wholesale sales experience, preferably within handbags
• Off-price experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate high-performing teams
• Strong follow-through and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
