About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience. Minimum of 3-5 years combined experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit, Coronary Care Unit, and/or Cath Lab. Minimum of 5 years of clinic nursing experience. License: California Registered Nurse License Certifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing American Heart Association Basic Life Support Advanced Cardiac Life Support Must-Have: Knowledge of both diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization procedures. Knowledge and skills in equipment, accessories, surgical procedures, and sterile technique. Description: This position requires the ability to float to other facilities. The candidate will work 10-hour day shifts with variable start times. The role includes performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The nurse will administer and monitor procedural sedation. There is a focus on the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. The candidate must possess Effective communication skills and be a part of an interdisciplinary team. Experience with electronic medical record systems is preferred. Prior teaching hospital experience is preferred. Travel experience is required for this position. Working knowledge of patient care protocols and guidelines is essential.
