East Chicago, IN, United States | req28768 What you will enjoy doing* Youwill operate and control process units and equipment both in the field andfrom the control station to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentallyresponsible operations You shall monitor plant performance for efficiency, proactively identifyingand anticipating issues before they arise In this role you will coordinate work requests, permits, and equipmentisolations, ensuring safe return to normal operations Additionally, provide front‑line communication to customers and facilitymanagement regarding product and process conditions and supply status Take responsibility for maintaining production records and implementingstandard operating procedures for starting and stopping major equipment tomaintain reliability and prevent delays Furthermore, exercise sound judgment when making process decisions withinestablished boundaries and contribute to improving and updating standardoperating procedures What makes you great Youwill demonstrate a strong commitment to personal safety, environmentalaccountability, and adherence to all safety programs and requirements You shall wear required personal protective equipment, comply with lockoutand tagout policy, and issue, monitor, and close out safe work and confinedspace permits In addition you should be knowledgeable and practiced in all emergencyprocedures while supporting safety initiatives such as safety inspections,incident reporting, and behavior‑based safety programs Assist in the development and execution of safe standard operatingprocedures, work a rotating schedule with on‑call responsibilities, andsupport shift coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays Additionally, maintain facility housekeeping, participate in turnaroundplanning and execution, and assist with routine maintenance and processsafety management activities You are recognized for maintaining training compliance You are able to meet the physical requirements of the role, includingconfined space entry, climbing, lifting up to fifty pounds, and working atheights You will be available to work extended hours when business needs arise Furthermore, you demonstrate the flexibility to support weekend, holiday,and call‑in coverage You ensure a reliable and safety‑focused presence during criticaloperational periods Why you will love working with us Linde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2025 sales of $34 billion.
