POSITION SUMMARY: As the Host, you're the first person guests see when they enter our doors! Hosts are in charge of greeting guests and making them feel welcome at Parkstone Wood Kitchen + Taps. Hosts may also assist with To-Go orders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet all guests with a warm welcome upon arrival.
- Seat guests and accommodate special requests.
- Manage the wait list: record guest names and number in party and provide estimated waiting time.
- Provide an exceptional To-Go experience for every Guest - from taking both phone and walk-in orders, ringing the orders in the Point of Sale system, packaging the items, cashing the guest out and ensuring all orders are on-time and accurate.
- Answer phones and manage the restaurant reservation system.
- Inspect tables for proper presentation and completeness.
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age
- No experience necessary; however, restaurant experience a definite plus.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
- Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Mobility required during the entire shift
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight (8) hours in length
