Step into a hands-on role where your technical instincts keep our CNC assets running flawlessly. As a CNC Machine Tool Service Technician, you’ll be the go-to problem solver who maintains uptime, elevates reliability, and safeguards product quality across our Milwaukee operation.

Your morning might begin by reviewing the maintenance log and planning preventive inspections. Midday, a machining center throws an alarm—you interpret the schematic, trace the fault through electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic systems, swap the failed component, and validate the fix. In the afternoon, you collaborate with engineering and production to fine-tune performance, then wrap up by documenting work completed, parts used, and follow-up actions. When urgent calls arise, you’re ready to respond with calm, methodical troubleshooting.

• Execute routine service, corrective repairs, and preventive maintenance on CNC machines to maximize uptime and accuracy.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics, manuals, and test instruments.
• Conduct scheduled inspections to identify risks early and minimize unplanned downtime.
• Partner with engineering and production teams to drive machine reliability improvements.
• Record all maintenance actions, parts usage, and repair details with precision.
• Assist with installing, setting up, and commissioning new CNC equipment.
• Stay current on CNC technologies, tooling trends, and best practices.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or CNC certification is preferred.
• Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing CNC machinery.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and clear documentation skills.
• Collaborative communicator who works well with cross-functional teams.
• Flexibility to adjust hours and respond to emergency repair needs as required.
