Mail Services Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking a Mail Services Specialist for a contract, temp-to-hire opportunity in Fayetteville, AR. This role supports on-site mail services, courier operations, shipping and receiving, document services, and general office support in a busy campus-style environment. Key Responsibilities Process, sort, distribute, and deliver incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and accountable items. Complete walking courier routes across campus and between buildings while providing professional customer service. Meter mail and process shipments through USPS, FedEx, DHL, and other carriers. Operate scanning, copying, digital printing, binding, finishing, and document preparation equipment. Maintain logs, tracking records, inventory reports, copier areas, and supply levels. Support office services, records management, conference room setup, light facility tasks, and other assigned duties. Compensation and Benefits Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour. Job Type: 5+ month contract, temp-to-hire. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Hours: 40 hours per week. Location: Fayetteville, AR 72701. Parking is available, and parking permit assistance will be provided. Virtual and/or in-person interviews may be required during the hiring process. Required Qualifications and Skills Perform mailroom, courier, shipping, receiving, and package tracking duties. Support copy center, document imaging, scanning, printing, and finishing services. Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and other customers. Maintain service logs, records, inventory information, and job status updates. High School Diploma or GED required. 1-2 years of related office services, mailroom, copy center, customer service, or administrative experience. Basic computer proficiency, including email, Microsoft Office, and Excel. Ability to learn shipping, mail management, and package tracking software. Strong customer service, communication, organization, and prioritization skills. Basic math and recordkeeping skills. Ability to walk extensively, stand for extended periods, climb stairs, and travel between buildings. Ability to lift and move items weighing 30-55 pounds and push or pull wheeled equipment when needed. Professional appearance and ability to follow a professional dress code. A valid driver's license may be required upon conversion to a permanent position if delivery routes are assigned. Preferred Qualifications Experience in mailroom or shipping and receiving operations. Courier or delivery service experience. Copy center or print production support experience. Document imaging, records management, or archiving experience. Administrative, facilities, or office services support experience. Experience operating office equipment such as copiers, scanners, printers, postage meters, and finishing equipment.
