DESCRIPTION
Lakeside Nursing and Rehab is looking for an Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join the team. This position consists of Private and AI billing, Hospice and Medicaid billing along with the collections of these payers. Keeping track of Medicaid Pending in addition to completing the applications, and the follow up that is needed with DHS, for a smooth transition. Working closely with other departments and family members in order to perform the job to the fullest. And any other duties that pertain to Accounts Receivable i.e., updating census, attending meetings and working on projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must possess minimum of a high school diploma.
2. Have Long Term Care, and/ or healthcare experience preferred but not required for at least one to three years.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop & maintain a good working rapport with inter- & intra- departmental personnel, the medical profession & other facilities/organizations, to assure that accounting services are property maintained to meet requirements of the facility.
Assure established accounting/credit policies/procedures are followed, interpreting them to residents & family members as necessary.
Ensure that residents’ rights to fair & equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property & civil rights, including the right to wage complaints, are well-established & maintained.
Create & maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest & positive emphasis with a calm environment for families & residents.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all resident care information so rights are protected.
Communicate with Medicaid caseworkers to determine status of Medicaid pending accounts
Communicate with families regarding bills and/or answer questions on account.
Other duties as assigned
