Sr. Engineering Program Director, Quality Strategy & Investigation Excellence

Senior Engineering Program Director leading quality strategy and investigation excellence at Medtronic. Establishes centralized capabilities in root cause analysis, reliability engineering, and advanced analytics across global quality operations. Drives organizational transition to data-driven, predictive quality management while supporting critical investigations and CAPA effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Establish and lead centralized Investigation Excellence Engineering capability with standardized methodologies
- Develop organizational strategy for root cause analysis, advanced analytics, and quality intelligence
- Lead deployment and governance of structured problem-solving approaches across the enterprise
- Provide escalation support for critical investigations, major quality events, recalls, and CAPAs
- Build communities of practice and technical career pathways for Quality Reliability Engineers
Requirements
- Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams across quality, engineering, and manufacturing
- Expertise in root cause analysis methodologies, Shainin Red X, and Lean Six Sigma
- Strong background in reliability engineering and advanced statistical analytics
- Demonstrated ability to influence across organizational boundaries and matrix structures
- Experience developing technical expertise and mentoring quality professionals
- Track record of implementing quality systems and investigation standards in medical device or regulated environments
