Middle School Substitute Teacher

Position Summary St. Mary Magdalene Catholic School is seeking dependable and enthusiastic daily and on-call substitute teachers to serve students in Grades 6–8. Substitute teachers are essential members of our school community, providing continuity in instruction and helping maintain a positive, faith-filled learning environment when regular classroom teachers are absent. Key Responsibilities Follow lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the classroom teacher. Maintain a safe, orderly, and productive classroom environment. Supervise students throughout the school day and during assigned duties. Promote respectful behavior and uphold school expectations. Communicate effectively with administrators and staff regarding classroom activities and student concerns. Support the Catholic mission and values of the school in all interactions with students and families. Minimum Requirements Minimum level Degree/Education: Bachelor’s degree Required years of experience and/or areas of related work: 3+ Enter Additional Requirements/Qualifications below as needed … Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms, schedules, and subject areas. Reliable, professional, and flexible. Commitment to supporting the mission of Catholic education. Employment is contingent upon passing a criminal background and reference check; must complete Diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training upon hire.
