Senior CoreValve Therapy Development Specialist - Ohio/West Virginia

Position Overview Senior CoreValve Therapy Development Specialist – provides technical, clinical, educational, and sales support to ensure safe adoption and growth of the Medtronic CoreValve System and related catheter‑based therapies. Key Responsibilities Technical and Clinical Support – Provide procedural support and technical guidance to implanting teams during TAVR procedures, including device loading, imaging interpretation (echo, angiography, CT), and administration of hemodynamic measurements. Act as a technical leader for TAVR device procedures, advise on indications, device suitability, and best‑practice techniques. Maintain comprehensive product knowledge, including clinical trial protocols and IFUs, and monitor emerging industry trends. Educational Support – Organize and lead local education and training activities, such as simulator setup, procedural troubleshooting, and staff in‑services covering valve loading and procedural steps. Facilitate ongoing learning for physicians, hospital staff, and Medtronic personnel. Sales Support – Work collaboratively with territory sales representatives and CVG field organization to develop and execute business plans, achieve sales targets, and maintain inventory levels. Contribute to sales strategy, provide on‑site support, and identify opportunities for growth. Serve as liaison with R&D for technology improvements and next‑generation product development. Provide customer service, resolve complaints, and report device issues to quality assurance. Assist in training new hires and support administrative duties such as expense reporting and travel arrangements. Communicate market intelligence, competitor activity, and product updates to district managers and leadership. Basic Qualifications High‑school diploma and 8years of clinical or sales experience in interventional cardiology, vascular, or surgical products; Associate degree and 6years of clinical or sales experience; or Bachelor’s degree and 4years of clinical or sales experience. Preferred Qualifications Background in echocardiology. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, nursing, business, or science. Experience with wires, balloons, catheters, or stents. Excellent knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Experience teaching and educating medical personnel and technical support staff. Proficiency with TTE, TEE, CT, and angiograms. Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong influencing, consulting, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Strategic decision‑making and project‑management ability. Ability to work independently, travel extensively, and handle radiation exposure. Physical & Environmental Requirements Independent mobility and computer interaction. Maximum lift of 20pounds. Regular travel by car and airplane up to 50‑75% of the time; overnight stays as required. Wear lead apron during procedures (average 2‑3hrs). Experience operating a moving vehicle and working in cath labs or ORs with radiation exposure. Must possess valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance. Exposure to infectious disease, radiation, and blood‑borne pathogens. Benefits & Compensation Competitive salary range: $128,000.00 – $140,000.00 USD (U.S. locations, excluding Puerto Rico).
