FDSP Associates is the organization that providespatient care focused staffing for the clinic operations sothat faculty and students may provide patient care to the generalpublic We offer paid vacation, sick leave, personal days, and 12Federal paid holidays. Hours of operationare Monday thru Friday with no weekends. Under limited supervision, provides patient supportfor clinical dental treatment and financial administrative assistance. Will act as a liaison between patients,staff, students, residents, and faculty.Conducts a variety of administrative tasks related to the efficientoperation of the Pediatric Dentistry program and is an adjunct to the patients,insurance, and business team. ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Actsas a patient advocate, acquainting patients with policies and proceduresrelevant to their care while providing excellent customer service to theminternally and externally regarding information, treatment, and financialmatters Providesindividualized coordination of care in the operating room at UMMC and UMROI. Serveas dental assistant for OR cases scheduled at UMMC and UMROI. Meetswith Residents on a regular basis to assist with patient management to enhancethe UMSOD experience Quarterlyreviews of patient charts to ensure proper procedure and protocol are beingfollowed by providers Communicatesregularly with Office Manager regarding patient issues and concerns Coordinateswith Office Manager and CIS staff for insurance related documentation andradiographs Managesall in-process treatment to ensure timeliness of treatment progression EDUCATION Highschool diploma or general education degree (GED); some college preferred. Candidatemust possess dental knowledge or extensive dental experience. MarylandRadiology License, Certified Dental Assistant required.Expanded Functions/DANB certification preferred. Additional dental assistingcredentials as applicable. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word computer programsrequired. Excellent oral and writtencommunication skills as well as a professional demeanor.
