Role Overview This role is responsible for processing and disposing of all temporary and event permits, coordinating enforcement efforts with district excise departments, managing permit-related complaints, and providing expert guidance to ATC leadership. The administrative assistant exercises discretion within governing laws to determine appropriate permit outcomes, coordinates stakeholders involved in applicant eligibility and enforcement, and helps develop procedures to address recurring or complex permitting issues. The role also supports implementation of new requirements resulting from changes in law. Beyond administering the permit program, the incumbent will maintain the agency’s appointment scheduler and internal comment box, independently implementing recommended changes based on feedback received. Salary The salary for this position traditionally starts at $34,216.00 but may be commensurate with education and work experience. Coordinate correspondence for information requests. Organize and maintain current and historical files related to the program. Organize program reports, applications, and maintain consultative services. Maintain and organize program assets. Prepare all program related training materials. Basic knowledge of the rules and regulations pertaining to the assigned program area and its affects upon other agency operations. Ability to gather and compile program materials. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to operate effectively in a group decision-making process. Tact in dealing with other agency personnel and the public.
