Program Manager (Area Manager, Exempt Organizations Examinations)

Senior Manager

As a Senior Manager you will:

1. Exercise delegated managerial authority to oversee the overall planning, directing and timely execution of a program, several program segments (each of which is managed through separate subordinate organizational units), or comparable staff functions, including development, assignment, and higher level clearance of goals and objectives for supervisors or managers of subordinate organizational unit or lower organizational levels.
2. Approve multi year and longer range work plans developed by the supervisors or managers of subordinate organizational units and subsequently manage the overall work to enhance achievement of the goals and objectives.
3. Oversee the revision of long range plans, goals and objectives for the work directed.
4. Manage the development of policy changes in response to changes in levels of appropriations or other legislated changes.
5. Manage organizational changes throughout the organization directed or major change to the structure and content of the program or program segments directed.
6. Exercise discretionary authority to approve the allocation and distribution of funds in the organizations budget.

• Oversees the development and execution of activities within the Examinations groups; Oversees the development, execution, implementation and evaluation of Examination programs, policies, and procedures; Coordinates and controls Examination activities to achieve uniform compliance with directives and effective utilization of personnel.
• Coordinates examinations activities and goals with other Area Managers; Conducts area workforce planning and budgeting within the relative examinations process.
• Coordinates policy and strategy between assigned operation and other function activities to manage cross functionally, achieve organizational goals, and to identify and implement process improvements relative to the Examinations process.
• Develops compliance programs to increase effectiveness of Examinations activities and address areas of noncompliance.
• Conducts staff meetings and conferences with subordinate key officials to convey management objectives and explain and implement National policies, procedures, and work plans; Communicates strategies and organizational policies to employees.
