Job Description
Title
PACU RN - Inpatient (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

Schedule
- Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
- Weekend Requirement: One weekend per month

Assignment Details
- Minimum Assignment Length: 10 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience
- Required: Level I trauma experience and telemetry experience
- Required Certifications: BLS (BCLS), ACLS, PALS
- Unit-specific skills: Phase II PACU care, dysrhythmia recognition/management, care of ventilated patients (as applicable), pre-op willingness, post-anesthesia recovery, post-cath/IR care

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in the PACU setting, monitoring vital signs and recovery from anesthesia
- Administer medications and manage postoperative pain
- Assess and document the condition and progress of patients recovering from surgery
- Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care

Compliance / Notes
- Drug Screen: Required within 30 days of start
- No local candidates within 100-mile radius accepted
- Non-local driver's license required on file
- RTO: More than 7 days requires approval; no RTO during the first 7 days or last day of contract
