Registered Nurse - NICU

Schedule
Shift Length: 12-hour shifts

Assignment Details
Contract Length: 10 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Requirements
- 2 years of NICU experience at Level 4 acuity
- BLS/BCLS and NRP certification required
- Experience with ventilator and critical care management
- Proficient in the following clinical skills:
- IV vasopressors
- High-frequency ventilation (conventional, oscillating, high-frequency jet)
- High-flow nasal cannula
- Neonatal ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPAP/PEEP)
- Management of respiratory distress syndrome
- Experience with Cerner EMR

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity nursing care for neonates and infants in a NICU setting.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and manage complex patient conditions, including respiratory support and ventilator management.
- Administer medications and treatments per established protocols.
- Conduct patient assessments and document findings accurately.
- Educate families on care procedures and support available resources.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 12 hours
- Drug screen required within 30 days of start
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- No locals within 100-mile radius; non-local driver's license required on file
- Max ~7 days time-off preferred; greater than 7 days requires approval
