Associate Director, Chemical Engineering

Nurix Therapeutics seeks an Associate Director of Chemical Engineering to lead end-to-end chemical engineering support for bexobrutideg drug substance from late-stage development through commercial launch. The role involves oversight of contract manufacturing organizations, process optimization, technology transfer, and regulatory strategy for a targeted protein degradation therapeutic.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable routes for small-molecule drug substance manufacturing
- Oversee equipment engineering and scale-up operations at external manufacturing sites with hands-on troubleshooting
- Lead technology transfer and process demonstration to contract manufacturers
- Review and approve batch records, campaign reports, and change controls for drug substance operations
- Author and review CMC regulatory sections for INDs and NDAs, including responses to health authority queries
Requirements
- Advanced degree in chemical engineering or related discipline
- Demonstrated expertise in small-molecule drug substance manufacturing and scale-up
- Strong knowledge of unit operations, process modeling, and equipment selection
- Experience with contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs)
- Familiarity with FDA, EMA, ICH, and cGMP regulatory standards
- Track record of leading cross-functional teams and regulatory submissions
