Travel Speech Language Pathologist – Sarasota, FL Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Sarasota, Florida. Job Details Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 per week (8‑hour shifts) Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient population. Design, implement, and adjust personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence‑based practices. Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies, home‑based exercises, and safe swallowing practices, offering supportive counseling as required. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate a comprehensive approach to patient care. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in speech‑language therapy. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in English reading, writing, and verbal communication. PC skills and ability to read/write instructions. Physical abilities: stationary position, move around, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend. Ability to work with diverse personnel and maintain professionalism. Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation, use of department equipment. Mental resilience: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under supervision as needed, handle irregular activity schedules. Sensory capabilities: visual acuity and effective communication. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree or higher in Speech‑Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology. Experience in speech‑language pathology (new graduates welcome). Additional certifications or licenses as required for this position.
