Embedded Sr. Sales Engineer - Convergint Technologies (US Remote)

Job DescriptionAs an Embedded Sr. Sales Engineer, you bring elite technical expertise and experience as a subject matter expert in solving some of the most complex challenges our customers face in protecting their people, property, and business interests. Your embedded role within Convergint engages senior sales leaders and provides shared customers with outcomes-oriented solutions leveraging the latest in generative AI and other leading public safety and physical security technologies.ResponsibilitiesEngage in major opportunities by collaborating with Convergint and MSI sales teams to provide technical solution expertise to stakeholders.Deliver world-class product demonstrations and compelling sales or technical presentations to C-level and front-line decision makers.Understand, promote and demonstrate the multi-product portfolio of MSI Ecosystem solutions.Provide design consultation including quoting, system design, best-practice system architectures, bill-of-materials development, compliance vetting, etc.Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and Convergint teams through technical thought leadership.Collaborate with Technical Support and Convergint Service leadership for post-sales guidance when appropriate.Act as a conduit for feedback from Convergint colleagues, end-customers, and other stakeholders to product management, marketing, development, and other groups.Serve as a primary technical resource for Convergint hosted roadshows and industry events.Collaborate closely with Convergint Technology Center (CTC) on subscription and license administration across all MSI products and services.Create additional collateral including training materials, how-to videos, and technical documentation.Proactively seek internal and external training opportunities to stay current on MSI products, complementary technologies, industry trends, and certifications.Other responsibilities as assigned by leadership.QualificationsSelf-motivated with positive attitude, passion for technology, and a focus on customer satisfaction.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences alike.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with knowledge of IP networking architecture, protocols, and security.Experience designing, implementing, or troubleshooting large multi-technology platform environments.Willingness to take on projects or initiatives outside of typical daily responsibilities.Strong time-management skills and consistent ability to meet deadlines.Experience with or strong knowledge of MSI Video Security & Access Control products highly desirable.Demonstrated ability to self-manage as an individual contributor or within a collaborative group.Technical certifications in cloud computing, networking, storage technologies, cybersecurity, API/SDKs preferred.Travel: 50%+ U.S. and/or Canada with potential for limited international travel.Experience working directly with large strategic partners or Convergint at a national level highly desirable.Ability to lift 50 lbs.3+ years in a sales engineering or pre-sales design role for video/access-control product manufacturer.Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely required; employer sponsorship not available.SalaryTarget base salary range: $120,000 - $148,400 USD.BenefitsIncentive bonus plans.Medical, dental, vision benefits.401(k) with company match.10 paid holidays.Generous paid time-off packages.Employee stock purchase plan.Paid parental and family leave.And more.Travel RequirementsOver 50% U.S. travel, with potential for limited international travel.Motorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
