About the Role Enterprise IT Leaders (EITL) is an executive-level advisory service that delivers expert insight and guidance tailored to each member’s context and most critical initiatives. EITL covers seven domains: Applications, Data & Analytics, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure & Operations, Program & Portfolio Management, Security & Risk, Sourcing & Vendor Management. The team consists of 178 Executive Partners who specialize in these domains and equip business leaders with inde‑pendant insights, advice, and tools to achieve mission‑critical priorities. Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of 25‑30 public‑sector clients (Federal, State, and Local governments), typically Chief Data Officers. Deliver value through regular briefings, virtual workshops, roundtables, webinars, and attending relevant Gartner events. Coach and mentor clients on critical initiatives and obstacles within the Data & Analytics space. Collaborate closely with internal teams (Sales, Analysts, Client Managers, peers across other EITL domains) to ensure value is delivered. Build executive presence, trust, and deliver measurable value to clients. Maintain member retention and actively contribute to regional growth through direct support of Gartner Sales in prospect cultivation, account plan development, and value demonstration activities. Operate as a home‑based individual contributor, managing portfolio, scheduling client and internal meetings, workshops, and administrative tasks. Qualifications 15+ years of executive‑level experience in a Data & Analytics leadership role (e.g., CDO, CAO, Data Scientist, VP/Sr. VP Business Intelligence). Experience in U.S. Department of Defense, Intel, or U.S. Government agencies. Executive‑level roles in consulting, sales, or customer‑facing positions are required. Subject‑matter expertise and current technical skills in one or more of the following areas: CDO Focus: enterprise‑wide data and information strategy, governance, control, policy development & data optimization. Data Science Focus: Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Conceptual Modeling, Statistical Analysis, Internet of Things, AI/BOTS. Information Management Focus: leadership perspective in Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Master Data Management in key industry verticals. Application disciplines (desired): Agile/Bimodal IT, DevOps, Lean Development, Mobile App Development, Cloud App Deployment, Integration Strategy & API Management, App Maintenance, Outsourcing, App Portfolio Management. Minimum Bachelor’s degree required. Active security clearance is ideal but not required. Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $160,000 – $194,000 USD. Compensation may also include an annual bonus plan or a role‑based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
