Accountant @ VC Firm

Coda Search is partnering with a quantitative asset management firm that is seeking to hire an Accountant with offices located in Stamford, CT. This is a dynamic firm that manages just over $8BN in assets with offices all across the globe. The Accountant will sit on the corporate accounting team overseeing the US operations assisting with the month-end close, managing the GL, and assisting with the annual audit. The Accountant will get exposure to the finance side assisting with preparing analytical procedures such as variance/trend analysis on various accounts. This firm has been growing exponentially over the past few years and has become a market leader within its space. Responsibilities: Assist with the month-end close overseeing various items on the balance sheet and income statement Manage the GL and reconcile accounts Manage P&L accounts and perform analysis Prepare schedules and work papers for various balance sheet accounts Post journal entries and reconcile accounts Prepare and review cash management activities Assist with the annual audit and preparing any supporting documentation Qualifications: Bachelors in Accounting/Finance 3+ years of experience Prior experience with multiple entities Prior experience with a large ERP system Strong excel skills (VLOOKUP’s/pivot tables) Excellent communication and presentation skills
