Process Improvement Supervisor

FleetPride, the nation’s largest distributor of heavy‑duty truck and trailer parts, is seeking a Process Improvement Supervisor to oversee essential business systems and drive efficiency across its distribution centers. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Analyze company processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement. Equip distribution centers with Lean Six Sigma and operational excellence tools and practices. Develop process enhancement strategies and investigate shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current business processes. Establish norms and standards for company performance and collaborate on ideas and strategies with management. Plan improvements to quality, cycle time, and cost, and develop presentations to facilitate project progress discussions. Stay up to date with advances in management and process optimization. Conduct operational analyses including risk assessments, mapping, redesign, simulation, root‑cause analysis, and time‑in‑motion studies. Collect, analyze, and synthesize data to generate critical insights for Lean deployment strategies. Complete post‑implementation reviews to confirm delivery success and identify future improvement opportunities. Lead and manage a network‑wide supply chain program (e.g., Vendor Compliance, Voice of the Customer) across all distribution centers. Develop and deploy standardized processes, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms for cross‑site visibility and actionable insights. Champion a culture of continuous improvement by initiating Lean Six Sigma‑driven initiatives to reduce variability, over‑burden, and waste. Serve as subject‑matter expert and change agent, equipping DC leadership teams with tools and training to implement Lean practices. Conduct regular data analysis, root‑cause investigations, and stakeholder interviews to assess vendor performance or customer‑satisfaction trends. Facilitate collaboration between cross‑functional teams (Quality, Operations, Procurement, Customer Experience) to ensure timely execution of program initiatives. Design and implement mechanisms for post‑implementation review to ensure sustainability of improvements. Deliver high‑level presentations and reports to communicate program impact, trends, and performance metrics across all DCs. Stay current with emerging best practices in Lean Six Sigma, operational excellence, and supply chain optimization. EDUCATION & TRAINING Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (preferred). PMP certification preferred. 3–5 years of proven continuous improvement, analytical experience from a similar role, including project management and business analysis. 3–5 years of Lean or Six Sigma experience, preferably Black Belt. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Proven facilitation, public speaking, training, presentation, and communication skills. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Track record of ownership and driving results. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Success initiating change and influencing at all levels. Proficiency in project management software. SKILLS & ABILITIES Handling regular stock, lifting or carrying parts between 5–50 lbs. most of the time; up to 60 lbs. up to 25% of the time. WORK ENVIRONMENT Large open environment with moderate noise level. High activity and constant movement of workers and equipment requiring strict adherence to safety procedures and rules. EQUIPMENT OSHA‑approved steel‑toed safety shoes required from day one.
