Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday-Thursday | 4:30 AM-3:00 PM
Starting Pay: $22.00/hr
Pay Growth Opportunity: Earn up to $28.00/hr upon successful completion of the API 1104 certification test.

PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a Welder I for a direct-hire opportunity with a respected manufacturer serving residential, commercial, industrial, and utility markets. What You'll Do

• Set up and operate welding machines, fixtures, and related equipment
• Perform high-quality welds according to specifications and production requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring tools
• Adjust equipment to maintain quality and efficiency standards
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with steel assembly and CNC-related operations as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Support production goals, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications
Required

• Minimum 6 months of welding experience (1+ year preferred)
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using measuring and inspection tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred

• Manufacturing or production welding experience
• Steel assembly experience
• CNC experience
• Interest in obtaining API 1104 certification

Physical Requirements

• Stand for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequently bend, reach, lift, grasp, and move materials
• Wear required PPE, including welding hood, gloves, safety glasses, and protective footwear
• Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, including warm conditions

Safety shoes and safety glasses are required for the interview.

A welding test is required as part of the hiring process.
