Cost Controller

Cost ControllerInsight Global is looking for a Cost Controller for an Oilfield services company headquartered in Houston, TX. Their day-to-day responsibilities revolve around monitoring the financial health of the project and ensuring costs remain aligned with approved budgets and forecasts. You'll be working closely with project management, supply chain, contracts, and project controls teams to track commitments, expenditures, purchase orders, subcontractor costs, and approved project changes. Throughout the project lifecycle, you'll maintain the cost control system, reconcile actual spending against budgets, and analyze variances to identify potential risks or opportunities early. You'll regularly review project progress against the schedule to ensure cost forecasting accurately reflects current execution and earned value performance. A significant portion of the role involves preparing and maintaining cost reports, forecasts, accruals, and financial analyses for project leadership, while providing clear visibility into project performance and helping management make informed decisions. Ultimately, you serve as the project's financial steward, ensuring stakeholders have an accurate understanding of costs, identifying potential budget impacts before they occur, and helping keep the project on track financially from award through completion. This person will be sitting in Shreveport, LA.
