Vascular and Plastics Surgery RN

Location: Portland, Maine

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Vascular and Plastics Surgery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both open and endovascular vascular surgery, as well as plastic surgery. This position involves on-call responsibilities, with weekend call on a rotational basis, averaging 1:5 weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Perform nursing interventions and monitoring for patients undergoing vascular and plastic surgery procedures.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care during surgery.
• Participate in on-call duties as required.
• Assist in the set-up and operation of surgical equipment.
• Follow protocols to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality in patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• At least 2 years of experience in a surgical setting, with specific expertise in vascular and plastics surgery.
• Current RN license in the state of Maine.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• Experience in trauma and various surgical specialties is a plus.
